Dr. Shashi Kumar D is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at CHRIST University, where he has been a faculty member since 2011. He completed his B.E. in Electronics Engineering from SJCIT, Chickballapur in 2007, followed by an MTech from IIT Madras in 2010. In 2023, he earned his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from CHRIST University. Before joining CHRIST University, he worked at ICFAI University, Dehradun, for one year.
His research interests are on topics in Microstrip antennas, Antenna arrays, Metamaterials (MTMs) and
their superstrates, Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS), Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) structures, RF
Energy Harvesting Rectennas, Antennas for Biomedical applications.

Major accomplishments include:
1. Successfully Established RF and Microwave Research lab with Anechoic Chamber test and measurements facility at CHRIST University as co-principal investigator with a grant of INR. 1.16 Crore.
2. Currently holding a seed funding of INR. 3 Lakhs from CHRIST University for the project titled “Investigations on the design of Aesthetic antennas for indoor wireless IoT applications”.
3. Received the MTT-S SIGHT Grant of $1000 for project proposal named “IoT Lab establishment at Government High School”, Project ID: 19-MTTS-SIGHT-2024
